Thank you for your great tips - we were able to put some of it into practice last weekend at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, we created symmetry & colour blocks. Possibly a combination of improved layout & cooler weather but we had our best sales there of our 8 years in attendance!

retail revamp seminars & workshops

Retail Revamp Seminars are typically held before or after trade (to suit retailer working hours) providing the participant a solid understanding on the importance of a visual merchandising strategy.

The seminar provides the participant the opportunity to reflect on their retail environment, to consider visual merchandising improvements and the chance to interact with other retailers in a similar position.  Before and after photos, case studies and videos are shared, along with take away tips and tricks that can be be immediately applied to any retailing environment.

Retail Revamp Workshops run from a day through to a full week, where all aspects of visual merchandising and display are considered.  The workshops include a mix of learning practices such as; comprehensive theory and brainstorming sessions, hands on (in store) visual merchandising sessions,  one on one consultations, after hours live window demonstrations, after hours window walking tours and much more!

The nature of these workshops allow the participant to fully put into practice all of the theory learnt.  Hands on sessions provide the opportunity to work through any situations where a participant may be 'stuck' and group sessions foster a productive and creative learning experience, where participants learn and interact with one and other.

Workshops can be customised to suit client specific content.

We are a small retailer with many years experience. I cannot stress how beneficial Carol’s revamp workshop and in-store consultancy has been for us. She has literally transformed the way we think about our visual merchandising. Every small business needs a great accountant and a great visual merchandiser!

REGIONAL retail revamp

Caro b. Regional Retail Revamp - Visual Merchandising Educator

The very first ‘Regional’ Retail Revamp, visual merchandising workshop took place in October 2006, in the NSW town of Hay. 12 years later with over 45 workshops conducted across 28 towns across regional NSW, this revamp roadshow is well and truly in full swing.

Working hand in hand with local Councils, Business Chambers of Commerce, Economic Business Development Managers, and local Tourism Officers, the Retail Revamp program has traveled far and wide from the back of Bourke to Boorowa delivering inspiration and information to regional business communities.

The program has grown and developed over the years, what began as a 2 hour workshop, now spans over a week with a variety of Retail Revamp activities taking place, including;

  • One on one retailer consultations
  • Group hands on visual merchandising sessions
  • After hours window demonstrations
  • Dusk window walking tours
  • Turning Towns Around - creative brainstorm sessions & much, much more

The program brings business communities together and challenges the way a community thinks of its town. Bringing a fresh set of eyes and a new perspective, this program investigates the potential to turn a town around by providing the skills, the tips and tricks and often much needed motivation to get business moving in the right direction.

Retail Revamp program is flexible in its offer and customised to suit your regions needs.

You can read all about previous regional Retail Revamp activities on my Blog page.

— Sharon D'Elboux, Business Development Manager, Orange City Council
The Retail Revamp Workshop provided a valuable and engaging experience for our local businesses. It has been inspiring to see businesses making or planning improvements to their store layouts and shopfronts as a direct result of attending the workshop. Attendees learnt a great deal and are already asking when the next Retail Revamp workshop will be!
